• Wearing Two Hats: Balancing Leadership & Management in Rural & Small Libraries 

In small and rural libraries, directors often juggle both management and leadership roles. Limited staffing requires handling daily operations while guiding vision, building interpersonal relationships, and shepherding organizational change. This session gives practical ways to balance these responsibilities without losing sight of the library's mission. Attendees will gain practical tools for prioritizing tasks, empowering staff, and for cultivating a leadership presence in their library and community. Attendees will learn how to lead with clarity, manage with purpose, and build a library that thrives as the heart of its community.

• Staff Training Day: Public Libraries 101

Presented to library team members on the basics of public libraries. Topics included the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights and Code of Ethics. I provided information on Intellectual Freedom & Privacy, library policies, and customer service. 

• Staff Training Day: Digital Resources

Presented to lilbrary team members on the digital resources that are available at the Hillsboro City Library. Team members were trained on how to assist library users in accessing the library's digital resources.
